Terms & Conditions

A legal disclaimer

Welcome to FAVA! We operate an exclusive, intimate 6-seat dining experience in Washington, D.C., hosted by Chef Wael. By accessing our website or placing a reservation, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

1. The Dining Experience & Seating

  • Capacity: FAVA operates an ultra-intimate dining room limited to six (6) seats per evening.

  • Punctuality: Due to the synchronized nature of Chef Wael’s multi-course tasting menu (10+ courses), all guests must arrive on time for their scheduled seating. Late arrivals may result in missed courses without refund or menu modification.

  • Community Seating: Parties who do not reserve all six seats in a single booking will be seated alongside other guests.

2. Reservations, Deposits, and Payment

  • Payment at Booking: Full payment or a non-refundable deposit (as specified during checkout) is required at the time of reservation to secure your seats.

  • Transfers & Rescheduling: Reservations are non-refundable. If you cannot attend, you may transfer your reservation to another individual up to 48 hours prior to your seating, provided you notify us at Info@favadc.com with the new guest's name and contact information.

  • Cancellations by FAVA: In the rare event that FAVA must cancel a seating due to illness, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, guests will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule for a future date.

3. Dietary Restrictions, Allergies, and Menu Modifications

  • Advance Notice Required: Chef Wael’s tasting menu is highly curated and seasonal. All dietary restrictions, severe allergies, and food aversion requests must be communicated at least 72 hours prior to your reservation via your booking details or by emailing Info@favadc.com.

  • Accommodations & Limitations: While we make every effort to accommodate dietary needs provided in advance, we cannot guarantee full menu accommodations for last-minute notifications at the table.

  • Allergy Disclaimer: Our kitchen handles ingredients containing common allergens (including, but not limited to, nuts, gluten, dairy, seafood, and sesame). Cross-contamination may occur, and guests with life-threatening food allergies dine at their own risk.

4. Alcohol & Beverages

  • Alcoholic Pairings: Wine and craft cocktail pairings, as well as additional beverages, are available only to guests aged 21 and older. Valid government-issued photo ID is required upon arrival.

  • Right of Service: FAVA reserves the right to refuse alcoholic beverage service to any guest who appears intoxicated or exhibits disruptive behavior, in accordance with District of Columbia laws.

5. Code of Conduct & House Rules

  • Guest Conduct: To preserve an enjoyable environment for all six guests, respectful behavior toward our team and fellow diners is required at all times. FAVA reserves the right to remove any guest whose behavior is disruptive, abusive, or unsafe, without a refund.

  • Private Property & Media: Guest photography for personal use is permitted, provided it does not disrupt the dining experience of others (no flash photography or intrusive recording equipment).

6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by District of Columbia law, FAVA, Chef Wael, and its agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of our website, participation in our dining events, or consumption of food and beverages, beyond the total amount paid for your reservation.

7. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Washington, D.C.
